Get ready for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, as the first Uniform and Accreditation Centre (UAC) has officially opened its doors! This pivotal moment marks a significant step towards the highly anticipated Games.
Located at Fiera Milano Congressi, Gate 7, the UAC serves as a central command post for managing the distribution of official uniforms and accrediting volunteers, staff, and stakeholders. It's an exclusive affair for employees during this initial phase, with the grand opening set for December 1st.
Andrea Varnier, CEO of the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation, visited the centre and shared his thoughts: "The UAC's opening is a tangible and significant milestone. It symbolizes the hard work and dedication of thousands who will professionally and passionately contribute to this international event."
Strategically positioned within the Main Media Centre, the UAC boasts excellent transport links and ample space for efficient material management. It will be the primary hub for accreditation and uniform distribution for the next five months, until the Games' conclusion.
The centre is fully operational, staffed by 250 trained volunteers ensuring a smooth flow of procedures. The uniforms, designed for functionality and recognition, will be distributed to a workforce of approximately 25,000, including 18,000 volunteers and Milano Cortina 2026 staff.
To cater to the mountain clusters, additional UACs will open in Anterselva/Antholz, Bormio, Cortina, and Predazzo from January 12, 2026, ensuring seamless operations across all venues.
